dscn5639.jpgdscn5644.jpgHere’s some of the bread. The buns were made from the WHO bread recipe on Soulemama’s website, http://soulemama.typepad.com/soulemama/2008/03/who-bread-goes.html She is such an absolute inspiration, and if you aren’t familiar with her site, take a peek. I wish I could do, make, create and be half the things that she does.

The other photo is from the Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day. I used the dough for the Basic Boule. It turned out well. Andrew said ‘it was the greatest bread he ever tasted’. I didn’t bake it  for the full 30 minutes, because it was starting to burn on top. The bottom of the bread wasn’t crisp at all, which surprised me since it was on the baking stone. Another thing that surprised me was the 5 minute part. The dough has to rest/rise for 40 minutes before you can bake it and you need to let the stone and oven heat for 20 minutes. I have more dough ready to bake and fine tune. The book has some amazing recipes and I hope to have success with some of the other doughs as well.

One perk of the dough was making room in my fridge to store it and ending up cleaning the whole fridge in the process. Boy did it need it, that could of been a post in it self.
